Veruschka Guerra still lives and works in her birthplace of João Pessoa. A city of beautiful beaches in Brazil.
She finds inspiration for her acrylic, pencil, and watercolor illustrations in dreams, travels and delicate details of the nature. Veruschka also loves traditional stories, so many of her creations are based on fairy tales and legends.
She has illustrated over 30 books for publishers in Brazil, Canada, the United States, South Korea and Spain. Veruschka was also indicated for the highest prize in Brazilian Literature, “Prêmio Jabuti” 2015 in the category “Children’s Book Illustration” for her first authorial book “O sonho de Karim”(Karim’s Dream).
The art for her is an instrument to inspire the good in the world.
