I grew up in Eastern Ontario Canada, next door to my grandparents’ dairy farm.
I think I have wanted to be an artist from the first time I held a pencil. While other children wanted to go outside to play, I chose to stay indoors and color.
Around the age of twelve is when I started painting. I had a neighbor who was an artist and I began learning from her. I first began learning in oils, and then years later I made the switch to acrylics. I love painting idyllic, peaceful country scenes where life is quiet, and you feel you could linger on a porch swing with a glass of sweet tea.
My husband and I along with our two grown sons now make our home in West Michigan. My family is grown, and I find I have the time to pursue my dream of being an artist.
I hope my artwork gives you as much pleasure as it gives me in creating it.
