Stephen Walton
My name is Stephen Walton and I was born and raised in Doncaster, England. With a great interest in science I have worked in laboratories all my life and I am now a Research and Development Technician for a Refractory’s company.
I have been married for twenty-nine years and have two grown-up children and a crazy chocolate Labrador dog called Bailey.
I have been interested in photography since childhood when my father gave me a Zenit EM 35mm camera. I discovered digital photography in 2004 and I am now the proud owner of a Nikon D300 12Mp camera. I particularly enjoy photographing landscapes, flowers and butterflies and working with bright colours and strong contrasts. I use Photo Explosion and Luminance HDR software to process my images and utilise high dynamic range and tone mapping to give them an artistic feel. These are methods of getting more information from the digital file into the final image.
I hope that people enjoy viewing my photographs as much as I enjoy taking them.
