Ned Levine
Bringing a smile to the viewers of his work, along with a clever wink, is what Ned likes to do in his illustrations for advertising, publishing and institutions. Whimsical, decorative, and conceptual with a strong, central image is a good description of his work.
Ned comes from a drawing and painting background and brings these sensibilities and disciplines to working digitally. His subject matter and images include references from animals, holidays, food, technology, editorial, music, and nature.
As an illustrator and graphic designer for over 30 years, Ned’s work has been recognized in various professional venues with over 35 national and international awards. He has been published in Newsday, a major New York newspaper for many years, as well as magazines, advertising and art licensing.
He is a graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York City and has been a highly regarded guest presenter and instructor at institutions and major universities. Ned has also taught in the Visual Communications Department at SUNY Farmingdale. His presentation experience brought him to the Poynter Institute For Media Studies in St. Petersburg in Florida where he participated and led seminars in the visual and conceptual communication process.
Ned lives in Long Island, New York with his wife Tina. Art, family, guitar, music, yoga and the love of the beach fill their home and daily lives.
