Pure expression….strong color statements……intuitively emotive expression Don White describes himself as a “re-emerging” visual artist. Fascinated by how color relates to music and sound….he likes to draw what he hears in his mind, not what he sees with his eyes…..by day he sells tactical gear to law enforcement agencies, by night he creates visual images with pen and ink over watercolor in multiple washes and layers…….fans of Don’s work say that his images strike an emotional tone and evoke a mood of good feelings…
“My technique is a blend of pen and ink over, then under watercolor with multiple washes, then I add simple lines and light elements into a field of abstract “Spacetime”…or what I think Spacetime might look like if we could actually see it…”
He served on the Woodbury Fine Arts Counsel Board of Directors for 2 years, and was a member of the Bloomington Center for the Arts. He has now stopped exhibiting but never stopped “coloring”….
