Marnie Bourque
I am a mostly self taught artist, living in a small picturesque town in Connecticut. From fields of sunflowers, spring trees in bloom, snowy landscapes, and places I travel, I can find inspiration anywhere. I also tend to be inspired by tractors, or my Dad’s first car, a 1929 Model A Ford, which I place in different landscapes.
My children grown up, and being laid off from a technical job, now gives me time to pursue my dream of being an artist.
Primarily painting with oils, I prefer a looser style, where the viewer has to work a bit to see details within the brush strokes. A lover of color, I will add my favorite paint, permanent rose whenever I can. Daily painting and taking classes from local artists, helps me to improve and keep challenging myself.
I hope that my artwork gives you as much pleasure as painting it gave me, and I am truly grateful whenever anyone chooses my art.
