Mark Mueller Wildlife Art
For over 30 years, Mark Mueller has been captivating viewers and collectors with his life-like paintings of the natural world. Working primarily in acrylics, he specializes in capturing the beauty of North American wildlife. Perhaps best known for his rendering of water, his meticulously detailed paintings have gained him national acclaim.
Mark began drawing and painting at a very young age. His love for nature and the outdoors developed throughout his childhood, as was told by his drawings of birds and fish. In 1990, he graduated from Syracuse University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in illustration. While in his senior year at Syracuse, he paid a visit to a local wildlife art gallery and was so inspired that he knew from that point he wanted to be a wildlife artist. He sold his first painting of a brown trout later that same year.
Mark’s list of artistic accomplishments includes winning the 1994-95 Nevada Duck Stamp Contest and placing in the top 6 of the Federal Duck Stamp Contest in both 1995 and 1997. He has garnered numerous “Best of Show” and Peoples’ Choice” awards at events such as the Wings and Water Festival in Stone Harbor NJ, and The New Jersey State Fair to name a few.
