Li Bo
Li Bo is a professional artist based in New Jersey, USA. He feels that all human beings are imbued with a creative spirit. Oil painting is one way to find and engage his creativity. He enjoys creating art, and hope his work invoke the authentic nature of our soul, which is creativity and joy.
He was born 1964 in Shandong, China. At the age of twelve he was encouraged by his mother to begin working with a local art teacher. It was this beginning that brought him into the world of Art. There he began working with oil on canvas which has become his preferred medium of choice. His professional career began in 1985 when he published his artwork as images in various newspapers and magazines throughout China.
His inspiration has come from Van Gogh, Gauguin, Monet and Matisse. His passion is clearly displayed and expressed by his love of color in flowers. Many of his fine art paintings are timeless natural gardenscapes bursting with color and warmth. His art brings the diversity, yet harmony of flowers and color in a beautiful natural setting.
Since 1991 Li Bo began participating in national exhibitions across China. He gained award winning success, and won international recognition at his first international exhibition in Zurich 2004.
Previous exhibitions:
2016- First gallery display at Design Domain Gallery, Springlake, NJ.
2008- Participated in Las Vegas ArtExpo, and held his second solo exhibition in Taiwan.
2007- Participated in ArtExpo in New York City. And held a solo exhibition on March in Taiwan.
2006- Participated in Art Ireland, Dublin Ireland. And an exhibition held at the Marziart Gallery in Germany. 2005- Began attending art exhibitions in Europe and United States.
2004- Zurich Art Festival, sold his entire collection. 2000- China-Korea Art Intercommunion Exhibition.
1999-2005 regularly participated in the International Art Expo held in Shanghai, China.
1998- Participated in three exhibitions. The first Jiangsu Art Festival held that year, where he won the bronze award. Also he attended the Best of Chinese Oil Painting Exhibition held in Hong Kong. The third one is Jiangsu Province Artwork Exhibition to celebrate the coming new century, and won the bronze award.
1995- East Bridgehead Exhibit, sponsored by the Chinese Artist Association. 1994- The Youth Oil Painting Exhibition in Jiangsu, China.
1993- Boya Oil Painting Exhibition in China.
1992- The Literature Symposium for Memory of Chairman Mao, 50th anniversary. 1991- The National Chinese Oil Painting Exhibition, Shanghai.
