I discovered my love of photography in college with my first black and white photography class. It wasn’t long before I declared photography as my major, and in 2001 I received a B.S. in Photography.
In my final years of college I began working with Polaroid transfers. The vintage look and beautiful random textures inherent in the process kept drawing me in for the better part of 10 years. Several years ago I made the switch to digital, but my work is still influenced by my Polaroid work. I am inspired by textures and fascinated with details. I adore aged objects, and nature is a continuing source of wonder for me. I photograph what I love in an effort to reveal the simple splendors in the world around me and to explore my emotional connection to it.
