Jeremy Paul
Dr Jeremy D. Paul was born in Accrington, Lancashire, in 1954 and attended Queen Elizabeth’s Grammar School, Blackburn. He then took a degree in Marine Biology at Liverpool University followed by a PhD for research work while based on the Isle of Man. His work has taken him to many of the country’s most beautiful areas, in particular he lived for a number of years on the west coast of Scotland, though he and his family are now back on the Isle of Man.
A completely self taught artist, he is inspired by wildlife glimpsed in its natural surroundings. The environment and atmosphere of the paintings are as important as the wildlife itself and come from many hours of observation research.
