Jeff Rasche
Jeff Rasche was born and raised in in the city of Decatur, Illinois, but now lives on a rural “farmette” called “Windsong Acres” with his wife Shelly Rasche, a well-known artist who is also represented by ALI. Living in the midst of rural America fuels one of the driving passions of Jeff’s photography. From the breathtaking simplicity of a sun-touched flower in the garden to the awe-inspiring sunsets over unblemished horizons, there is inspiration and beauty everywhere upon which to focus.
Besides their respective art pursuits, the Rasches have renovated two old barns, and share a love of giving new life to old, rustic antiques. It is no surprise that barns and the relics of farming from years gone by are another favorite theme of Jeff’s photos.
Jeff is also a nationally-published writer of seventeen devotional books and
hundreds of other articles and curriculum materials. Educated and still serving as a United Methodist minister, Jeff’s “day job” and another driving passion in his life is serving as the Associate Director of Stewardship at Chaddock in Quincy, Illinois, an agency that helps children and families who are recovering from the effects of extreme childhood trauma, particularly child abuse and neglect. Jeff and Shelly have three sons: Ben, Zach, and Nick. After raising three boys, they now have been blessed with three granddaughters, who frequently find themselves on the other side of the
camera lens, too!
