I picked up a semi-decent camera just to annoy my daughter a couple years ago.  She would always roll her eyes when my father originally would bring out his camera, then later on do the same to me.  Then I decided to actually learn how to use the various settings on it and take some images of scenery starting w/ the Albany, NY skyline across the river at night.

I fell in love with it.

Since then I have acquired some decent equipment and carry my camera with me everywhere I go.  My daytime job lets me travel all over the back areas of New York, and many places offer fun moments for me: a sunset coming down a wheat field, various large waterfalls hidden in the hills and mountains, abandoned and broken buildings, or a group of people performing with lights and fire.

So far I don’t specialize in one area of photography, and join up w/ other photographers in the area for various outings or even a new class on portraits.
