Holly McGee

One of Holly McGee’s earliest memories is stopping to stare at the yellow and black design inside of a red tulip she found in her grandmother’s garden. A lifelong fascination with color and pattern soon followed, and today she uses a mixture of traditional and digital methods to create artwork that has been internationally recognized for its unique combinations of pattern and palette.
For the past twelve years, Holly has exhibited in galleries and art shows, worked as a children’s book and editorial illustrator and has created designs that have been printed on cards, clothing, kitchen, bedding and other houseware  items worldwide. Her nature and lifestyle themed paintings show a gentle obsession with the poetry of color and shape, and an evolving exploration of expression and gesture found in both the human and animal worlds.
