Artist Hilary Winfield sees magic in the natural world all around her, and beautifully blends it into inspired, colorful, modern abstract paintings for you to enjoy.
Whether it’s drawing inspiration from thunderstorms building over a mountaintop, or from the unique way paint peels on a dilapidated boat, her curious observations transform into one-of-a-kind contemporary art pieces featuring a range of colors, textures and movements.
Hilary is located in Virginia Beach, Virginia and skillfully works with acrylic and mixed-media to bring life to canvas and wood substrates.
Having spent time living on both the East coast in North Carolina and Virginia, and the West coast in the Pacific Northwest, with travels across the United States and beyond in between, Hilary has always been drawn to nature’s beauty. At a young age, she began creating art drawn from the inspiration she found outside, and continued to fine tune her craft as she grew and explored the world around her.
Hilary received her Bachelor of Science in Applied Communication degree from Appalachian State University, and pursued a career in product marketing before turning her attention and business full-time to her art. Her original artwork has been shown in numerous exhibitions and galleries in the U.S. and internationally, and she’s achieved many first place achievements over the years from the American Art Awards, in a variety of categories.
