Fiona Stokes-Gilbert

Fiona Stokes Gilbert is an illustrator/ designer working in the greater Los Angeles area.
She has spent the last 30 years designing consumer products and textiles for companies such as Disney, Mattel, Nickelodeon, Warner Brothers and Franciscan dinnerware.
With a fondness for pattern, she integrates it frequently into her work. Having earned her BFA at Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, California, she has continued to study and explore her art, with additional study at Otis Parsons, UCLA and The School of Visual Arts in NYC, broadening her skill set in different areas; from traditional drawing and painting to digital techniques.

“While I enjoy the possibilities that open up when working digitally, I never stray too far from my first love, drawing and painting. Every piece I do, even if it is completed as a digital file, starts as an original painting.”

Fiona’s mediums of choice have been watercolor and gouache, however she has more recently been experimenting with acrylic and mixed media.
