Fernanda Franco
Fernanda Franco is fine artist and designer with a delightful mix of global and modern sensibilities, born in Mexico City where she first began drawing and studying art and design. Fernanda moved to New York in 1995 and attended Pratt Institute from which she received a Masters in Graphic Design, after working several years as a designer for Galeria Mexicana de Diseño, a space that features contemporary design in Mexico City. Fernanda has worked as a graphic designer for MoMa, the Whitney Museum and several design studios in New York.
Her involvement with fine art through design includes several bookbinding, ceramics and printmaking workshops with master printers around the world. Her diverse experience across many cultures and disciplines continues to inspire her work.
She finds inspiration in her travels and in nature and in color. Recent trips to France, Italy, Costa Rica, England and Spain have enriched her drawings, prints and wares.
