Debra Lake

Debra is a self-taught artist who began painting in college. She enjoys drawing and painting subjects that enchant her, with her greatest inspiration coming from a childhood spent playing in the countryside of New England. Her images are often taken directly from her country living and depict delicate flowers in subtle colors.

Debra works in many mediums including pen and ink, colored pencil and acrylic, often using more than one medium in the same composition. She has also studied music and voice and combines her passion for the arts with her passion for the country by creating whimsical flower paintings that illustrate nature’s gems. Her work, both music and art, is simple yet invokes deep feelings.

Debra’s work is a blend of colors, emotions and dreams. With a few strokes of her brush she captures the living essence of our Earth in a simple country style. Full of nature’s wonders her work has charmed the world and brightened many homes and offices throughout the country.
