Debbie McMaster
I have been drawing since I can remember. My grandfather saved a santa that i drew, colored and put together with staples when I was 5 years old. I still have it in a scrap book. In elementary school I was the one my teachers would get to decorate the bulletin boards. I took all the art classes in high school that they had and my art teacher would take me to the Detroit Art Institute a couple times a year.
I spent a lot of time with my maternal Grandparents. They had a cabin in northern Michigan. My Grandfather designed and built that cabin on the lake…he also helped build others around the lake. He loved to built boat kits. I was given a boat when I was old enough to row one. I was introduced to woodworking early. My grandfather loved quilts, braided rugs, rustic furniture and blue willow dishes. I was given the gift of love for country from both!
My hobbies include: crocheting, sewing, quilting, camping, traveling and painting!
I have an associates degree in Commercial Art and Graphic Arts. I have been displaying at art & craft shows for 26 years, I painted on everything I could get my hands on. Now I am working on canvas and I am loving every minute! I work in acrylic, pen & ink, watercolor, colored pencil and gouache. Sometimes I use a combination of these.
I have been married to my husband, Mark, for 12 years. I have 4 sons, Mark, Greg, Scott, and Steven. I also have a stepson, Jeffrey and a stepdaughter, Jennifer. I have 3 grandsons and 3 granddaughters but that will change in April when I am blessed with another grandchild.
I have been blessed to be signed by Applejack Art Partners.
