Claudia Interrante
Claudia was born and raised in the Tampa Bay area of Central Florida.
After briefly attending a college in the midwest for the performing arts, she decided to follow a different passion. To the relief of her parents, she moved closer to home to attend The Ringling School of Art & Design in Sarasota, Florida. After earning her degree in Graphic Design, Claudia’s first job at a worldwide advertising agency took her to Atlanta.
She worked at several Graphic Design jobs before accepting a position as Creative Director for a giftware and stationery company. She traveled throughout Europe and Asia purchasing art to license and apply to anything from gift wrap to ceramics. This job was her introduction into a world of snowmen, Santas and Jack-O-Lanterns. She grew tired of the “9 to 5” corporate life and decided to flop over to selling her own art to greeting card companies, holiday decoration manufacturers and stationery companies.
During this time she met and married her husband Karl who also grew up on the beaches of Florida. They both longed to get back to the ocean but had since fallen in love with the old South, its architecture and the change of seasons. They settled on historic Wilmington, North Carolina to be their home in 2002 and welcomed the birth of their son Luke in 2005. She now resides in Charleston, SC.
