About the artist…
…a gentleness in life gives rise to a gentleness in art.

As a child, Brenda could always be found with a crayon or pencil in her hand, dreaming of becoming an artist one day. She completed her formal education in Fine Art at the University of Tennessee, then moved to Atlanta, Georgia, where she resides today.

As her love of art grew, Brenda began a lifelong journey to become the best artist that she could be. She devoted more time to developing her skills in water-media, researching and absorbing everything possible on composition and design. As her talents advanced, Brenda was offered the opportunity to study with numerous prominent watercolor instructors. She quickly became more and more intrigued with the illusive medium of watercolor, and soon began exhibiting her artwork. Interest in her work grew quickly and limited edition prints were made available for collectors.

Brenda has won numerous awards and her work is found in many corporate and private collections around the world, such as Dow Chemical, Coca-Cola, IBM and United Airlines. Her work has been featured in Watercolor Magic, Romantic Homes, Home Décor Magazine and on the cover of Sunshine Artist Magazine
and many others. Today her work remains primarily watercolor and she is best known for her Christmas artwork. The sensitive manner in which Brenda portrays Christmas inspires the viewer to look deeper for the true message hidden within the work.

Brenda’s art can be found on many fine home décor and gift items such as tapestries, porcelains, puzzles, Christmas cards and more. Brenda often spends many hours completely lost in the joy of painting. Through her many years as an artist, Brenda has realized that even with all the knowledge gained and techniques practiced, the most important ingredients are the love and joy that are poured into each and every one of her paintings. Each new piece of art is a direct reflection of who she is…a view inside her creative world. She welcomes you to celebrate the joy!
