Wendy L. Wolf
Wendy L. Wolf, artist and storypainter, was born in 1964 and spent her early years in the beautiful woods and hills of Venango County, Pa. Her rural surroundings fostered an appreciation for the beauty of nature and a love of reading fueled her imagination. After moving to eastern Pa. in her early 20ʼs, she was blessed to raise a wonderful family and establish a successful art career.
A self taught artist, with a professional career spanning over two decades, Wendy has explored many facets of freelance artwork. Beginning her career as a muralist, she expanded her artistic offerings to include faux finishing, pet portraiture, original paintings, licensed original works, and eventually developed her own unique genre of “storypainting”.
Designed to convey a story, Wendyʼs storypaintings follow in the tradition of oral storytelling, but add to the practice with a beautiful visual prompt. Incorporating hidden pictures, and often symbolism, Wendyʼs storypaintings help to tell a story in a beautiful, visually cohesive way.
She and her husband, Floyd, currently reside on a lovely wooded hilltop in East Tennessee, where she enjoys gardening, beekeeping, travel, art & design, and all the beauty the music and mountains of East Tennessee have to offer.
