For many, it just means more cold...watching the snow pile up and wipe the landscape once again into white. But there's something in that vision of subtle tints and tones that makes you more aware of shadow and shape, creating a new kind of imaginary beauty. February brings not just an extension of the cold weather, but a different way of looking at winter and it's impact on open spaces. A few gentle abstract winter-scapes from our archive.
