Janice Innocente is a traditional realist artist who was born and raised in Northern Ontario. After a lengthy career as a dental hygienist, she retired and began to paint with oil paint and soft pastels. Her love of horses and nature have been with her since she was a child, and these have become the focus of her realistic works.

She’s self-taught and strives to convey the emotion and light of her subjects. Her work has received multiple award, most notably the Rosemary Crosswell award at the juried Paint Ontario art show.
