Nov 08, 2013

Dean Russo left the hustle and bustle of NYC to come up to rural Vermont to spend some time with the Art Licensing Team. Dean came up with a mission: to sign canvases for a limited edition gallery wrap program. The ALI team had a lovely dinner with the Dean Russo team Thursday night.

Friday was the signing day! We set up a production line to get this process done the most efficient way possible.

Steve Henderson Painting raises money for infants!

Nov 06, 2013

Our artist, Steve Henderson, donated his painting, “Dream Catcher,” to a charity to help raise money for twin girls.

The Taylor Twins Throwdown event was sponsored by CrossFit Gyms Northwest, Tucson, AZ. The benefit auction was for Paige and Cooper, twin girls born at 27 weeks. The subsequent hospital and medical care mounted costs for this family, and the CrossFit Gym family put on the event to help cover costs. In addition to the auction, the event consisted of a competitive event involving 85 two-person teams signing up for the physical challenges people pursue in CrossFit. When Steve and his wife found out about this charity (through their daughter, Sierra, who works out at the gym) they decided they wanted to help this family out. Steve was generous enough to donate his painting to auction.

The auction was a success and the painting entered in the top tier level of prizes. The day the painting arrived at the gym, all activity (including classes which were supposed to start within a few minutes) stopped as staff and members crowded into the office to see the work. The winner of the painting said:

“Such a priceless piece especially knowing its history, the cause, and the people surrounding it. Thank you Henderson family for your wonderful donation. It will be up on my wall very soon!”

Here is a photo of the organizers of the TaylorTwinsThrowdown as well as Steve’s daughter, Sierra.

This photo features the Taylor family, including the two adorable baby girls.

Through Art Licensing, Dream Catcher is licensed to Great Big Canvas, where it’s in the top 30 percent in sales for Canyon Art, and the top 18 percent for Figurative Art. For more information regarding Steve’s art, take a look at his portfolio.

The October 2013 Tabletop Show was a success!

Oct 23, 2013

The NY Tabletop show at 41 Madison was a great show for us (and our artists)! We were very busy, meeting with new and existing clients, all of who were very enthusiastic to work with us. We got a lot of positive feedback about the artwork our artists have worked very hard to produce.

For our presentations, we make sure to go the extra mile! We know that each customer has different art needs and their products require variations of the artwork. We provide the customer with Presentation Sheets (along with the original art) to show how the artwork can be changed, rearranged, and manipulated allowing it to fit to nearly any format and product. Here is an example of a presentation sheet our artist, Color Bakery, created.

We showed this presentation sheet to a customer a few months ago and they loved it. They decided to move forward and create a line with these images. Here are some pictures of what the actual products look like on the shelves at the show!

Aside from “Wines of France,” Color Bakery also had another collection being featured at the show, “Patisserie.” It is amazing to see the finished goods on the shelves- they look GREAT!

We have come back from “the Big Apple” exhausted, but eager to share all of the good news with our team and artists. We also came home with a laundry list of contract requests, new art requests, and general feedback about our art. Our artists are already feverishly working on new collections to fill the requests from our customers. Keep checking our website to see what is new.

To view all of the photos from the tabletop show, please look at the Tabletop Album on our Facebook.

Coming soon: art from the Stephen Huneck Gallery!

Sep 27, 2013

Stephen Huneck believed in the healing powers of dogs, nature, art and love. It was his wish that he could help others heal as well as heal himself, so he created these whimsical and charming images to inspire dog lovers of all ages. Along with his paintings, he created an amazing retreat for dogs and their owners called Dog Mountain. Dog Mountain is set on 150 acres on a private mountain top spot in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. Dogs are not only welcome here, they are cherished! The dogs are free to run, play, swim and best of all… meet other dogs! This haven is covered with hiking trails and dog ponds. Wildflowers abound in the summer and snowshoeing is a favorite activity in the winter.

There is also a Dog Chapel at Dog Mountain. Stephen believed that Grieving for a lost dog is one aspect of the Dog Chapel, but it is equally important to celebrate the joy of living and the bond between dogs and their owners. Stephen Huneck wanted people and dogs to have the most fun they possibly could.

After a life long battle with depression, the artist tragically took his own life on 1/7/10. The staff is determined to keep Dog Mountain going in his memory. The amazing team at Dog Mountain wanted to share Stephen’s feel good pieces with the world, so they signed with ALI.

Colored Pencil Magazine is featuring two ALI artists!

Sep 27, 2013

Colored Pencil Magazine “inspires passionate colored pencil artists, both beginners and pros, with up-to-date information and tips, as well as showcasing some of the best colored pencil art in the world. It is a testament to the increased amount of respect and fan base that colored pencils has attained as a medium in recent years.” Art Licensing is super excited to announce that two of our artists get the honor of being featured in the October 2013 edition of this magazine.

Aron Gadd and Cecile Baird both have a four page spread which will tell their story and feature their beautiful work. You can see how different their styles are, yet both amazing.

Aron Gadd is one of the leading animal portrait artists in the United Kingdom, with nearly 30 years experience in producing attractive and accurate studies of horses, dogs, and cats.

Working primarily in oil and colored pencil, Cecile Baird has developed a realistic style that captures the drama, beauty and simplicity of everyday objects in her still life paintings. With their strong sense of composition and lighting, her paintings always draw the viewer back again and again.

Take a look at their portfolios so you can see all of their amazing work.

This is what working in an office in Vermont is like!

Sep 26, 2013

We were just settling in for the day… the sun was shining, the Keurig was brewing, and computers were booting up when Courtney came inside to announce that we had some unexpected guests outside. We all went outside to find some of these feathered friends!

After we all admired the size of these amazing creatures, Dara and Courtney made sure they made it back across Route 7a safely. This is one of the many reasons we all love working in Vermont. We never know who (or what) will show up at our door.
