Our artists have celebrated this holiday with a lot of amazing imagery. To see what we have to offer, take a look at our St. Patrick’s Day selection: http://www.artlicensing.com/product-search?s=st+patrick%27s+day

At Licensing’s European Adventure!

Feb 15, 2019

Russell and Syrena recently had a European Adventure of a lifetime!

They started their journey in Birmingham (UK) to attend the Spring Fair. This is the biggest and best trade show for homeware and gifts in the UK with over 60,000 retail professionals in attendance from over 120 countries. The Spring Fair brings people and products together, providing inspiration for a variety or product categories.

UK her we are

This was the team’s second time attending the Spring Fair and they were so excited to be back. They saw some familiar faces as well as many new leads. There are so many fun products and they got a ton of information about the European Licensing world.

After 3 full days of walking, talking and business meetings the team left the UK and headed to Frankfurt, Germany for Ambiente. This was the team’s first time attending this show so they were incredibly excited. They were unsure of what to expect, as they have never been to a trade show where the main language was not English! They were prepared with some German phrases, but pleasantly surprised they didn’t need to rely on their German to get them too far (as most of the show spoke English).

Germany!

The broad spectrum of products at Ambiente is what drew the team to Germany. The show includes a variety of exhibitors/manufacturers with products ranging from tableware/kitchenware, to household products, to gifts and accessories, to interior design/furnishings and home décor. In 2019 the show hosted people from 92 countries! The sales team met with countless new clients from all around the world.

Now that the team is home they are following up with the new leads and look forward to seeing what new contracts they will write!

The Atlanta Gift Show 2019

Jan 22, 2019

If you were wondering how many steps it takes a Licensing Agent to get through 2 days at the Atlanta Gift Show… the answer is more than 30,000! Thanks to our handy iPhones we tracked our “foot print” at the Gift Show this year.

After a whirl wind of appointments, browsing new products, meeting new customers, a little fun and LOTS of new deals in the works our sales team was glad to head back to Vermont (even if the temperatures were super cold). We saw so many amazing products this year and were so excited with the amount of Art Licensing Artists we saw blasted throughout the show.

The market was raving about new trends including, but not limited to: sloths, llamas, mermaids, camping and clean farm house. We were excited to hear this news as we already had so much great art to offer to suit these needs.

The Atlanta Gift Show is always so exhilarating- so much to see under 1 roof (well, 3 roofs… but you know what mean)! We are looking forward to finalizing our follow up from the meetings and watching our meetings turn into contracts.

ALI to Visit Stave Puzzles

Oct 26, 2018

Russell and Syrena just had the pleasure of making the trip from Manchester, VT up to White River Junction, VT to tour the Stave Puzzles building. They had an amazing time meeting the Stave team and watching the hand cut puzzles being made. It was incredible to see the talented staff cutting such precise puzzle pieces. After explaining the entire process of how their puzzles are made, the staff at Stave was even kind enough let Russ and Syrena take a stab at cutting their own puzzle pieces. Russ and Syrena confirmed this is not as easy as the Stave team makes it look!!

In addition to seeing the craftersin action, the ALI team was able to see lots of Art Licensing Art displayed throughout their beautiful building. The buildingtour was followed by a delicious lunch at a local restaurant and then a beautiful, colorful drive home.

I

Art Licensing is super grateful for the warm welcome they received from the Staff at Stave and for the amazing experience they had while learning about the puzzle process.

Abril Andrade's Ridiculous Cake!

Aug 17, 2018

We’re excited to announce that ALI artist, Abril Andrade, was featured last month on Food Network’s Ridiculous Cakes. What an amazing way to have her work showcased and presented to a national audience!

Friend and fellow Ohioan, cake maker Timbo Sullivan (Cakes by Timbo), was the man behind recreating Abril’s Goth-style imagery in the form of a dazzling edible delight. Being his first appearance on the acclaimed reality TV show, Timbo arose to the challenge and constructed a stunning cake portraying one of Abril’s fantastic characters atop a delectable looking mushroom. If his “ridiculous” cake tastes as incredible as it looks, Timbo has a very promising future in the cake industry!

Anthony Paladino's photo was chosen as one of “Peter’s Picks”.

Apr 30, 2018

Art Licensing artist, Anthony Paladino, was recently featured in the Image City Photography Gallery exhibit, ‘Through the Student Lens 2018’, where his photo was chosen as one of “Peter’s Picks”.

Anthony’s photo, titled ‘Light and Water on Colorful Sandstones’, was selected for the exhibit after winning an award in one of the monthly competitions established by Camera Rochester, a photography group in the greater Rochester, NY area.

The exhibit’s main attraction was a selection of photographs from local high school students, representing 18 different schools in the Rochester area. Also featured were works from Wilson Foundation Academy’s Studio 678, The Rochester Area Nature Photography Meetup Group and other members of the Camera Rochester group.

Peter Marr has served as a judge, in both local and International photographic competitions, for the past 20 years and is a former President of the Kodak Camera Club, as well as a past Chairman of numerous Kodak Camera Club organizations. His photography has won him numerous awards throughout Kodak and in International Salons, including 5 George Eastman Medals, which is the top honor awarded to the most outstanding picture in the Annual Kodak International Salon.

Here is what Peter had to say about Anthony’s photograph: This lyrical waterscape, superbly seen and artistically captured by the author, is an impressive example of an image that is both timeless and magical. From the title, one knows that the photograph is about the playful interaction of light and water over colorful sandstones, which could be interpreted as the enchantment of moving water with the vitality of inert rocks. For myself, I am fascinated by the rhythmic interplays of colors in the water, which range from deep blues which gently merge into lighter shades of aqua blues and turquoise. Below the surface, the orange and yellow-gold hues could easily be imagined as from goldfish gently swimming over the sandstone rocks. Every viewer should take the time to look beyond the quiet beauty of this memorable print, relax the mind and try an emotional response, which could be a reflection of their own dreams. My own visual commentary is twofold. Firstly, it is easy to imagine that one is looking at an impressionism era painting, and secondly, the gentle flow of the water is musically reminiscent of a quiet passage from Claude Debussy’s La Mer. Photographically, Anthony has captured this image creatively, particularly by using a shutter speed that is exactly right in order to capture the profound serenity and emotional impact of this image.
