The way of the Turtle

Feb 08, 2021

When we set forth to change something...so often we are impatient for the results and need confirmation that it's happening fast. But a true transition takes time so that it becomes who we are, not just the latest thing. This is the way of the turtle. Whether on land or by sea, a grounding sense of staying true to your path and being good with the choices you have made. Enjoy these few beautiful images of sea turtles from our archive and click to see more from our website. AOTW is Geno Peoples, painting the perfect getaway, fishing paradise or ideal country store find. We introduce HUE and MI and Sangita, an artist from England with varying themes of creative and cute illustrations and patterns. David Galchutt wows us again, with his art chosen for the top trending market item, Diamond Art Kits.

snow fields

Feb 01, 2021

For many, it just means more cold...watching the snow pile up and wipe the landscape once again into white. But there's something in that vision of subtle tints and tones that makes you more aware of shadow and shape, creating a new kind of imaginary beauty. February brings not just an extension of the cold weather, but a different way of looking at winter and it's impact on open spaces. A few gentle abstract winter-scapes from our archive. AOTW is photographer Susan Vizvary who looks at object and function as an art form. We feature botanical studies from our in-house artist, Art Licensing Studio and a few hot puzzle items with images from classic painter, Nicky Boehme. Take a look... https://conta.cc/3r5JHTc

All things Paris

Jan 25, 2021

An emerging trend we see for this year is the minimal chic style of what Paris has to offer. An updated version of classic ornate lines pared down to subtle use of color, particularly black and white. Simple architectural line drawings are stepping in for photography along with impressionistic details of Parisienne landmarks and quaint environs of apartment living and city life. Our AOTW is Kestrel Michaud, creating imagery from cut patterns and materials. We feature the lushness in floral art from Barbara Mock and a large canvas for all-environment wall decor with images on wood from Jean Plout.

Shanti Shanti Shanti

Jan 20, 2021

Peace Peace Peace ...it starts with what we have in our hearts...and as the good Doctor says, let that be what we see of the world. A great quote from a motivational source...and some great images from our artists in the archive. AOTW is Tanis Bula who brings lively color and skill to her watercolor paintings. We also bring you Jerry Cable with essence of tranquility in his serene farm landscapes and Bridget Voth's whimsical animal adventures on cards.
May the peace of this day of new beginning stay with you and all the days to come https://conta.cc/35XCVXM

Goodbye and Hello

Dec 30, 2020

As we look to this past year with a lot of mixed emotions that many of us would like to forget, it's important to recognize that stuff just happens. Whether slow moving or blindsiding, the Universe is always changing in incredible ways. And just as we look with optimism to every new year, so should we look to the greatness of every day as it comes and as it goes. Letting go of that which no longer serves us and that which we can't control...and saying hello to the brightness of whatever comes next. A theme that resonates with the Brazilian author, Paulo Coelho , ("The Alchemist") who is the source of our quote of inspiration. WE offer up the 20 most "liked" images of the year chosen by, none other than YOU! We are so grateful for all of you and remain thankful as we move to 2021.

Believe

Dec 07, 2020

Our quote for this week comes from an unknown source, which is a shame since it's so simple, yet so reflective of how we see ourselves. We don't have to believe in Santa, but we can pretend to be like him and spread joy and giving throughout the holidays. Now that's something to believe in...
Our AOTW, Robert Harding Picture Library has over 850 exciting and adventurous images from around the globe in our archive. Our feature artist, Robert Finale paints scenes from city to country, spring to winter in beautiful color. Macneil Studios images of santa in the village are made into 3D sculptures for holiday home decor. Check that out here... https://conta.cc/3qDarv5

'Tis the season

Nov 30, 2020

If it's your tradition of getting out the stand and putting up a tree, now's the time. Suddenly, wherever you put it, the space is transformed from same old same old to something magical. Let this year be something special that rejuvenates...just like the fresh scent of balsam and pine.
AOTW is mystical and magical imagery from Sue Clyne. We feature fresh bright paintings from Mary Irwin and show off graphic illustration art from Lanre Adefoiye on Needlepoint kits. Good Health to all. https://conta.cc/37ounbZ
